XAPI is the name of the Xen Project API which brings cloud-like functions to Xen Project. The XAPI project is a subproject of Xen Project, and is therefore part of the code controlled by the Linux Foundation.
XAPI is used heavily by the XenServer project, which is an Open Source distribution of Xen Project software. The XenServer project is guided by Citrix Systems, but XAPI itself is part of the Linux Foundation.
